Wenqi Li (Eric) is a creative technologist, digital media artist, and full stack web developer, currently a master candidate at Interactive Telecommunication Program (ITP), Tisch School of the Arts.
His works blend light, sound, games and open source hardware with interaction design and use web technology, mixed media palette to explore a tangible and engaging future.
New Interface for Musical Expression + Live Performance + Physical Computing
ADMIN is innovative instrument based on a combination of live data processing, web audio, and physical interface. The final presentation is a live performance set at NIME(New Interface for Musical Expression) show at Littlefield Venue, Brooklyn, NY on Dec 3rd, 2017.
Web Application + Installation
An experiment project that treats browser windows as the content of expression, the material of design and the storyteller of emotion, not only the canvas. In browser lab, instead of interacting with HTML elements within only one window, users build a connection with the browser windows themselves directly.
Physical Computing + Data + Fabrication
Alaska’s Glacier Bay is home to over 100,000 glaciers, 95% of which are currently thinning. We created a sculpture that mimics the peaks at Alaska Glaciers and destroys itself instantaneously, and almost comically, in response to any user interaction with it.
