Autodesk Character Generator (https://charactergenerator.autodesk.com/)

What did you have control over? Were there things you wanted to have control over that you didn’t?

  1. Face shape, nose, eyes, chin, mouse, cheeks, eye color, hair style, skin color, body shape, arms, chest, breast, stomach, backside, leg, top and bottom dresses, and shoes.
  2. Hair color, and more hairstyles. Eyebrows, eyelids. More choice of clothing.

Is this avatar an accurate representation of you? What is missing?

  1. Mostly it is, except that it doesn’t really look like me.
  2. The personality I guess. I don’t like avatars that are not very non-fictional and not very abstract neither. They look scary.

South Park Avatar (http://southpark.cc.com/avatar)

What did you have control over? Were there things you wanted to have control over that you didn’t?

  1. Skin color, eyes, mouth, hair style and color, top and bottom clothing, hats, small accessories, glasses, backpacks, backgrounds, and the memes! Meme big boi XD.
  2. Nose. And I actually want to move things around, and change the size.

Is this avatar an accurate representation of you? What is missing?

  1. Not physically but in an emotional way, it is.
  2. It’s South Park! Nothing is missing. If I have to find out something missing, I would say I want to create collages out of this platform.

How do the two avatars compare to one another? What is the original context for this avatar (what game or social platform was this for)?

  • The South Park Avatar is 2D, comic looking and casual generated. We suppose to make fun through creating it. It’s for social platform engagement and looks like an online event to announce its South Park online board-casting platform on Hulu.
  • The Autodesk Avatar is 3D, not very realistic though I think it was supposed to be. It’s mostly for games. It can be exported as most of th 3D object formats and for unity3D animating.
